Company profile
Based in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Spinque started as a technology spin-off from Centrum voor Wiskunde & Informatica, CWI (the Dutch National Research Centre in Computer Science and Mathematics). Spinque develops search technology for information specialists, combining the key advantages of information retrieval and databases to easily provide customised access to any data source. This approach is being successfully applied to a growing number of application domains, including intellectual property, multimedia archives, medical archives, user-specific domains (e.g. search applications for children).
Spinque's employees have a strong background in information retrieval and database systems, both in the theoretical and practical sense. This high technology focus and the tight two-way bond with the research world makes Spinque able to deliver practical implementations for complex search tasks, always relying on the most technologically advanced solutions.
Mission
Spinque's mission is to bring the concepts of "to search" and "to find" as close as they possibly can. To this end, our effort goes beyond turning cutting-edge science results into the best search technology available. Because if we know how to search, you only know how to find, according to your unique expertise in your application domain. We believe that search technology needs to adapt to you - not the other way around.
